Beat the Heat in the Swimming Pool at BJR in Guwahati this Summer
The summer season has always been my favourite season. But every year, Guwahati’s summer has been getting hotter. So I decided to make a day trip to my favourite escape spot, Brahmaputra Jungle Resort. The main purpose of this trip was to swim. With the global pandemic happening I haven’t been able to travel to anywhere coastal. The Swimming Pool at BJR is one of the best that Guwahati offers directly situated in the lap of nature.
The best alternative I could find was this beautiful resort amidst nature. Situated on the outskirts of the city, it’s the best escape from the daily hustles of life and to beat the heat this summers, 2021.
Since there’s evening curfew, I started the day early. We reached the resort by 10 in the morning for a hearty breakfast. Ofcourse, all the covid protocols were followed, starting with our temperature check and sanitisation. From the breakfast menu, the grilled cheese sandwich was my personal favourite. As they say it in French, it was ‘delicieux’ . Perfectly grilled and with the right amount of cheese.
It was already around noon by the time we finished eating, so we jumped into the infinity pool right after. Things that make this pool different from others is its location. The pool is surrounded by nature, giving you a serene vibe. The water was crystal clear and very well maintained. The pool is perfect for families and babies too.
There’s a baby pool inside the main pool itself, making it easier for parents to keep an eye on their kids while both the parents and the kids enjoy the cool water. Even the main pool isn’t too deep. One side is less deeper than the other side , for those who aren’t very confident on their swimming skills.
The changing rooms were clean and they provide separate rooms for men and women, providing a safe environment for us women. Another perk was that the resort has their own swimming costumes, clean and of different sizes.
After a long swim, we were exhausted and hungry. We ended our trip with a luxurious lunch.
So, if the summer heat is getting to you, Brahmaputra Jungle Resort is the perfect place to beat the heat. You know where to be next time you get a day off.
